Nohadra Shawarma Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Nohadra Shawarma Restaurant feels like slipping into a warm neighborhood gem where flavors and traditions linger in the air. The space hums with a quiet yet inviting energy — a place where the rhythm isn’t rushed, and every detail, from the freshly baked bread to the neatly arranged vegetables, speaks of care and intention. It’s the kind of spot where the aroma of spices mingles with the soft chatter of friendly staff, creating an atmosphere that’s both comforting and familiar.
Here, the experience unfolds gently around the food. Shawarma wraps, heaped with tender, well-seasoned meats and enlivened by crisp, fresh vegetables and tangy pickles, are more than just meals — they feel like small celebrations of home-cooked Middle Eastern traditions. The lentil soup warms more than the belly with its hearty, homemade quality, while the kababs and sides invite sharing and slowing down, savoring each bite in good company.
The attention to authentic flavors and fresh ingredients is evident — pita bread made on site, sauces that complement without overpowering, and a balance between moist, savory meat and crunchy, vibrant vegetables. More than the food itself, it’s the subtle generosity in portion and the thoughtful preparation that create a quietly satisfying experience.
Whether you’re seeking a moment of familiar comfort or a discovery of genuine Iraqi-style cuisine, Nohadra offers a grounded, heartfelt welcome. It’s a place to pause, enjoy the textures and tastes of a well-loved culinary tradition, and leave a little more nourished — in body and spirit.

For an amazing price of only $10.50 you get a shawarma sandwich with all these wonderful toppings to choose from. The beef was really tasty and generous. I think the new Iraqi-style cuisine is my new favourite.

If you want to feel like you’re back home, this is the place to visit. The food has that real, comforting homemade taste — full of flavour, good quality, and cooked with care. From the rich, hearty soup to the fresh pickled vegetables, everything reminds you of traditional dishes made with love. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended

Great chicken shawarma! The wrap doesn't look huge in hand but it's big on satisfying the hunger! Generous meat/veggie ratio of about 50/50. The chicken came out of a hot tray but was moist and tasty. The combination of the sauce and soft bread melts in your mouth and along with the crunchy veggies it's a sure winner. The staff were friendly and hygienic with the prep. This place just screams mom & pop and could use a bit of upkeep, but overall it's great. The wrap was toasted in it's wrapper which seemed a little strange and did cause it to stick to the wrapper a bit. Not a biggie. Great overall experience!

This tasted so authentic and the combo is worth it. You could feed a family of 4 for $20 nice. Meat was so flavorful but ease up on the rice, it's a bit much. The soup is good one it's own or mixed with the lentil soup. Soft pillowy bread and nice tang from the pickled veggies and red onions. Service was on the slower side. Not that busy when we arrived but there is so much to pack for a combo it's a feast so understandable trade off.

I recently visited Nohadra Shawarma Restaurant, and it was an amazing experience! The food has an authentic Iraqi taste — the chicken shawarma and kebabs were full of flavor and very high quality. The lady working there was also very kind and welcoming, which made the visit even better. They even serve kale pacha (traditional Iraqi soup) on weekends! This time I chose the shawarma, and it was truly delicious, especially with their tasty sauces. If you want to try real Iraqi food, this is definitely the place to visit!
